It's worth making note,
I wasn't always like this
But then you showed up and covered my eyes.
You said to keep them closed
Until you came back
Or, atleast that's what I heard.

You gave me words to hold onto with my heart
and words were always my favourite to hold.
how did you know?

Time flew by,
And I grew restless
Still waiting, just waiting for you to return.
Now and then you'd visit
to say hello
But I never saw you, I kept my eyes closed.

It's so absurd that I held onto anything
When I should've just let go
Have you let go?
Please don't let go.

One day you said "follow but, keep your eyes closed"
They said to say "no"
But you lead me on so well.

Now I'm a fool;
A nervous wreck
Because of the words I hold.

It's so absurd I still hold onto anything,
When I should just let go.

Did you let go?
Should I let go?
I'll try let go.
I can't let go
Have you let go?
Please TELL me to let go.
